With its abundant share of beaches, the best time to visit Dinagat Islands is when there’s warm temperature and low rainfall. The best months to schedule that vacation are in the months of April, May, June, July, August, and September. No need to worry about the crowd during these months since Dinagat Island remains to be an emerging vacation spot.

As an island, the only way to reach Dinagat Islands is through a ferry boat that comes from Surigao City. There are only three trips for those ferries and boats bound for Dinagat’s capital town, San Jose. The first trip is as early as 5:30 am, the second one at 9:00 am, and the last trip leaves around 2:00 pm. A one-way trip is at Php 100. One thing to note is to ride the boat bound for San Jose. Do not ride the route to Dinagat for this is another route intended for another town with the same name located south of San Jose.
